Gardening Angels, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Conyers, GA, dedicated to feeding and educating our community through sustainable gardening. We believe access to fresh, healthy food is a right, not a privilege.
Our mission is to:
- Build and maintain community gardens
- Provide fresh produce to families in need
- Teach children and adults how to grow their own food
- Partner with local schools, churches and organizations to expand food access

Our journey began in 2011 with a dream of growing our own farm and promoting healthy and sustainable living. Inspired by the Michelle Obama “Let’s Move” campaign, we started small. Our first garden was right on the balcony of our two-bedroom apartment in California. From that humble garden, our passion grew quickly.
We began donating fresh produce to those in need, hosting educational classes, and organizing community food drives. Through partnerships with Home Depot, the “Let’s Move” campaign, and Feeding America we expanded our reach, helping families embrace healthier lifestyles and fostering a love of gardening in our community.
After relocating to Georgia, we purchased a 2-acre property. Today, we continue to cultivate fresh produce, empower our community through education, and inspire others to grow, share, and lead healthier lives.
